Our research takes place in many French and German cities. Some cities, like Frankfurt and Berlin, own drug consumption rooms, while others like Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Munich and Nuremberg do not. In all of them, drug consumption in public space is a huge issue of public discourses and city policies. Their focus lays on the dangers and the insecurity of citizens and neighbors thus erasing the risks and safety issues for the consumers themselves.
